Colin Duncan

Today I attended a packed Strichen church to wish farewell to Colin Duncan who died when his motorcycle was involved in an accident on the road between Kintore and Dunecht on Wednesday 11th.

Colin, together with his brother Sandy, were recent members of the GMC, joining in the latter part of the year and going on the Wednesday runs. (Sandy and I, both gentlemen of good taste as we both run Aprilia Futura bikes, had lots to discuss regarding good mods and other Aprilia matters. I hope he's back next season.)

Like the rest of us in the Club, Colin loved his motorbike, but was only 41 and leaves behind his wife Diane and three young sons, Callum, Sean and Aiden. My thoughts. as I'm sure are those all of us in the Club, are with his family at this time, to whom this is an utter tragedy.

Didn't know when the funeral was to be.

I met Colin a couple of times he was a nice chap .

Secondly thank you to everyone for the kind words.

I will be taking a short break from biking over the winter out of respect to Colins wife and sons .

I fully intend to carry on biking come the spring (after having had a few awkward conversations with my wife).

look forward to seeing you all on the midweek runs .
