| Dare I risk saying that there were stands at the motorcycle show doing them for £45 (Plugzz). Ask Dave Morris how they feel once his are delivered There was another stand doing DIY ones and they had a web site you can order from: http://www.diyearplugsonline.com/index.htmlMight be worth a try at £20. Cheers Col | |

| I have the DIY ones and they do work okay but sure the real ones would be much better.Watch if you have a tight fitting helmet as when you put on and off your lid the plugs seem to make your ears less flexible and it is harder to get your lid off and on. - Col wrote:

| We used Specsavers at the show last weekend. They gave us the £75 ones that included a filter for £50 a go. They seemed to know what they were doing and have the back up of stores all over the place. I think they are the same as the guys in Rosemount, the moulds have been sent away, and we're just waiting for them by post. Apparently some companies use a harder compound that is longer lasting (ie more than 5 years) but is more uncomfortable as it is a bit rigid. You pays your money and you takes your choice! | |

Their agent is the guy in Rosemount "Better Hearing". He does your moulds, then you send them down to Englandshire to get them made. Takes a few weeks.
Except for everything going quiet, you don't know they are in. Ali The guy in Better Hearing said he made the plugs for Grampian Police and then he quoted me £113 . It does pay to shop around . Cheers Steve | |

| Steve if you can fit in a bike run to one of the shows then Plugzz is the best deal at £45.00 + £8.00 extra if you want the filters if you intend to use autocom or a similar system. The guys running this business are professionals who actually fit hearing aids for the NHS so they know what they are doing at a cracking price. Give me a call if you want to know more details.

| Hi Guys. They're a rip off. I bought mine about 4 years ago at Ingleston. They're OK but I've grudged the expense ever since because our past chairman said that he used the cheapie ones, despite being issued with the moulded expensive ones, by the police. Another police biker, used the moulded ones just because they were free, but I don't think that they were any better. After all that, I'll probably require hearing aids soon when I have to get my hearing checked at Woolmanhill. Look after your hearing everybody..... | |
