Forum Threat!

Look what I found tucked away in the minutes of the committee meeting 20th April 2010:


7. The Forum.



There was a consensus that this was not proving useful and we need to consider if it has a future.

I am not impressed and totally disagree. Was this consensus that of individual committee members' personal opinion (notoriously low-posters in general) or representative of ordinary members some of whom's opinion has already been asked? My biggest concern is that without the forum ordinary members will be denied a way of communicating with each other without going through (and therefore moderated /controlled) by committee members.
Healthy, open and honest debate welcome.

In reply to the above post regarding the forum, this was an unfortunate choice of words, there was a discussion on the forum in general terms.

At NO time was there talk of the forum closing, that was never discussed.

A correction in this months minutes will be on the web site shortly.

Also we have already taken steps to make sure that mistakes like this does not happen again.
