Thanks mike. I did call them as it goes but as usual there was a little girl on the other end of the phone who knows nothing about anything. I think they have to be sent away. Think its only a loose connection in the flex but I suppose they should really be tested anyway.

@Steve. A horse is like a motorbike except unlike a bike it doesn't have a gyroscopic effect and is quite happy to do things not supported by physics or predictable in anyway.

Guy based in Culter travels round hotels /restaurants and anyone else; sharpening knives, garden shears and anything that's blunt!
It's a national company with it's name on the van--sounds like GILBARCO.
Bloke's name is JOHN ALLANACH, nice lad.
Don't know if there's a GMC discount.

Sanchia.

Any electricians amongst our guys??

If not--tell me what's wrong and I can ask my grandson who's just about finished his apprenticeship as a sparky.

I've used Clippers HG before, reasonable service & not too bad a price, but of course you have to send them away. Any decent electrical repair shop should be able to replace the flex though. Not used them for a good couple of years & not since we got the Shetland ponies.

Sorry, I've not been on for a bit, so you might have had them sorted by now.

Cheers

We're all well and truly outclassed by the guy I pass most days going to work. Even through last winter he managed to use his bike. And tonight, taking an hour to do a 20 min journey I passed him again going home to Inverurie, nice and steady, queue of traffic behind him, both feet out flat and ready for a slide! alien Rock on brave biker!!

Thanks Col
I had seen that website but its a bit of a leap of faith posting off a couple of hundred quids worth of machine to a company you know naught about. If you have used them before thats great. I'll give them a bell tomorrow.

And yeah actually two of the horses are garaged lol lol! They don't do bad weather. Well no more than a play and a couple of snow angels anyway.

The bike is now buried behind a very large bale of hay so no more playtime for moi scratch
