In reply to Steve's question above, both these events below are at the Red Star at 7.30pm.

On Wednesday the 19th January we are having a talk by P C Neil Robertson, details to follow.

On Wednesday the 16th February we will be entertained by Sticky (Keith Henderson) who will be telling us about touring in Europe.
So if you have not toured there before he will answer any questions you may have.

The presentation "Be a Better Biker" covers all aspects of biking such as positioning for corners, junctions etc, overtaking, filtering, clothing, general tips and info as well as info on Operation Zenith. The presentation, from the police point of view, is bound to raise a bit of discussion.

"The presentation is a good opportunity for bikers to raise issues they have and for us to hear what the general opinion is on what we're doing."

That will be 5 minutes on each subject then......and propaganda to boot re Zenith.

Question 1 - Why did Chief Inspector Forrester get off?
Question 2 - If a police driver can be admonished for following bosses instructions, does that mean I can speed so long as I get instructed by my boss to do it? How come the Nazis tried this defence in the war crimes and failed to win the argument?!!!

Some people seem to be missing the point here.
The officer who will be presenting the evening is trying to help us bikers.In my opinion it would be wrong to heckle or attend, if the evening would be of no advantage to you.
Not everyone has had further training after passing their test and I guess the evening would be geared towards them.

If you think you would be bored,dont attend.
If you want to give the police a hard time,find another way to do it(but it would be amusing to see Keith thrown out he always brings along the entertainment factor to any meeting/AGM Wink

)

I will be going along and wont be bored or give the officer a hard time just because his boss can get off abusing his privelidges.

Was that by that other discredited police officer who tampered with his blood sample and escaped jail because he was a police officer and it would cost us too much to keep him in solitary? Question 4............. Sleep
