| Nothing's ever simple is it? The heated grip on the throttle worked loose yesterday - control was a little challenge to get home! Suzuki Assist (in disguise as the AA) came to sort it at home this morning but although the patrolman did his best and phoned around for advice, he said he wasn't a motorbike specialist. I phoned Neil from Craigston Tyres for suggestions. He came out of work and gave up his lunchtime to sort it at his new workshop in Oldmeldrum so that I could take the bike down the road this afternoon! What a hero! This is not the first time Neil has offered to put himself out of his way to help us mechanically useless bikers! And he always gives a great price on tyres! | |

| Speak for yourself Diane, we are not all useless. The same thing happened to me when I was at a bike show in Lancashire a few years ago. My solution was to put 4 cable tyes around the grip and yank them up really tight. But there again if you are not mechanically minded you wouldn't be carrying those in the first place. Glad you got sorted by Neil, real nice guy. Didnt get a discount on my two tyres but he did say that if business picked up in the New Year he would consider a GMC discount. So all you reading this you know where to get your replacement tyres. P.S. He has new premises in Old Meldrum. K.T.R.O.T.R. Dan | |

| Happened to me too on the Guzzi on the Club Clova run at Kirriemuir garage when stopped for petrol. Bought a tube of superglue from the garage, applied a wee dose and rejoined the group at the Spital. Still carry the tube for future emergencies. Thinking of these tiewraps, Dan, would they be any good for attaching a handbag to the bike? | |
