Thanks to everyone from the GMC who attended the run / sponsored or donated. It was great to see GMC members outweighed all others at the run yet again. One of the Ucan marshalls said GMC would be better at organising this run, now there's a thought for the committee.

Just read Don's email, its a terrible loss and my deepest condolences go out to his family.

John was such a character. I'm stunned.

This is the most awful news. My thoughts with his wife and family.
John was one of the gentle giant types, larger than life and ultimately doing something for someone else by raising money for UCAN.

Bob kindly gave us a call last night to let us know , what a dreadful end to the day.
Our sympathies go to his wife and family.
Will the committee be organising a wreath/flowers in due course when arrangements are known ?

What a tragic end to a most enjoyable day. John’s company will be sadly missed by me and so many of our club members. My thoughts are with Aileen and the girls at this time.

I am so lost for words. I can hardly imagine a run without following John's tailpipe. So many times we had taken off on the way home riding hard but loving every minute. I am so sad this will never happen again. My heart goes out to Aileen and the girls I can't begin to imagine their loss.

There was 26 bikes on the run tonight. We all went as one group and rode past the spot where John Alexander died on Sunday. Susan, Nomie and I tailed off there. Susan laid a bunch of flowers and Nomie said a prayer.

Have just given statement to police about events on Sunday.
I was asked to advise every club member who travelled back along A93 that afternoon to contact Grampian Police on 08456005700 and ask that your details are passed to Inspector Kirkwood at Stonehaven.
